Pause — Delete Your Account

Pause (by SPICEETECH (PTY) LTD) lets you delete your account and its data at any time.

Before you delete: cancel your subscription

If you pay for a storage plan, cancel it in Google Play first (Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Pause). Deleting your Pause account does not cancel a Google Play subscription, and Google would keep charging you.

If you can open the app

1. Open Pause and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Delete Account.
3. Enter your password to confirm.

This is immediate — there's no waiting period or manual review.

If you can't open the app

Email admin@spiceetech.co.za from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my Pause account," and include your username if you remember it. We'll verify and process the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your profile (email, username, display name, avatar).
• Your push notification token.
• Your encryption keys and their backup.
• Your current storage plan record.
• Any vault you're the last member of, and everything in it (photos, posts, reactions).

What's kept

If you own a vault that still has other members, ownership passes to another member so their shared content isn't lost — but your own account and its data are still fully deleted.

Records of past subscription purchases (which plan, when, and the Google Play transaction reference, with no card details) are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Google Play and RevenueCat also keep their own purchase records under their own policies.

Deleting individual photos

You don't need to delete your whole account to remove specific content — any photo or post can be deleted individually from within the app by any member of that vault, without affecting your account.
